It’s road trip season, and we’ve found some amazing adventures for you.
Time to stock up the car with snacks, make a few playlists and hit the road to see the sights. (Make sure to grab some OptiMind so you can stay focused on those long drives)
So, here are three epic ways to spend your summer vacation.
1. Route 66 (Illinois to California)
This one’s a classic for a reason. If you’ve never experienced crossing the country and seeing the American landscape shift from lakes and hills to desert, mountains, and beaches, then you’re going to want to make time this summer. On Route 66, you can see amazing things including the Willis Tower in Chicago, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, the Glenrio Ghost Town in Texas, The Grand Canyon Caverns, and even Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch in California.
2. Cedar Point
The self-proclaimed “Roller Coaster Capital of the World,” located in Sandusky, Ohio, has more than earned its name. From 1997 to 2013 Cedar Point won the Golden Ticket Award for Best Amusement Park in the world. Not only is it a cutting-edge amusement park, but it’s also the second oldest in America. Even better, it’s the only park on Earth with 2 of the 10 fastest roller coasters in the world. If huge rides aren’t your thing, there’s also a water park and a sports complex both as top notch as the theme park.
3. Follow The Weird
There are many strange roadside attractions all over the U.S. A trip from New York to North Carolina, to Kansas, to Nebraska would show you the Jell-O Gallery and Museum, the world’s largest chest of drawers, the giant ball of twine, and the world’s largest ball of stamps. That’s just the tip of the weird iceberg. If you want to see the unique places that make America amazing, just follow the highways. You’ll be amazed what you find.
So hop in the car, make the most out of this summer and see where the road takes you.
